Gold River Aquafarms

Gold River Aquafarms is a 3,000 MT land-based Steelhead farm, set to become the largest facility of its kind approved in Canada. Their land-based systems are an efficient and highly sustainable alternative to sea cage fish farming; eliminating impacts on wild stocks, sensitive habitats, and ecosystems while addressing the demands of our global food system.

As they continue to gain traction with approved licensing and funding, we’ve been working with their founders to create a unique brand identity, a customized web presence, and meaningful storytelling assets to support their growth.

The custom WordPress website was designed and developed to showcase their exciting venture, while also providing an informative user experience for both the public and potential investors alike. The site’s dynamic visual elements include both still images and video, providing a captivating view into the company’s highly technical world of innovative seafood production using cutting-edge science and technology.

These elements were created by some of our favourite local collaborators. Tremain Media created the short film showcasing the innovative technology, and we used their footage and animations to enhance the visual storytelling throughout the new website. Bluetree Photography took beautiful still photography of the founders and the surrounding property, which is located on the old mill site in Gold River, BC.

Their brand identity was developed by our junior designer, Jayda who delivered a crisp, clean, and future-minded logo and supporting elements. In partnership with our creative director Dale, they worked together to apply the new brand digitally on the new website.

The site also includes a confidential section for prospective investors to find the information they need to make informed decisions about future relationship building.

Storytelling throughout the website was written in collaboration with our talented copywriter Haley, who thoughtfully and extensively crafted the copy to reflect the aquafarm’s identity as a company at the forefront of sustainable food science and engineering.

We are thrilled to continue our work with Gold River Aquafarms, creating opportunities to reach new messaging and communications goals in 2023.
