Living Lakes Canada is an award-winning NGO that facilitates collaboration in monitoring, restoration, and policy development initiatives for the long-term protection of Canada’s lakes, rivers, wetlands and watersheds impacted by climate risk.
They approached us with a desire to make their annual report more accessible, contemporary, and engaging. They also wanted a concise and professional resource that they could share with current and prospective donors. Historically, their annual report was a printable PDF. We moved them to a digital format, creating an animated single-page website to highlight their annual successes.
Features include custom charts and scrollable text blocks for added interest. The best part? We created the website to be usable as a template, so each year can be easily updated. The joys of tech!

As a remote team, we acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territories of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples who have cared for this land since time immemorial. Our home office is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ people, the We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum and Kwiakah First Nations. Our team’s diverse origins as Settlers mean that our individual paths towards reconciliation are guided with both local and global truths about colonization and its ongoing ramifications for Indigenous Peoples everywhere. As we celebrate the diversities that surround us, we continue to educate ourselves and look at how we can contribute to a more equitable future for all.
